STORYBOARDSParticipants are required to submit initial storyboards for animations. These may be as “sketchy” as desired, but must clearly communicate your intentions and thought processes. Storyboards will be included in the final submissions.
ANIMATIONContestants must create an animation no longer than 15 seconds, using the provided audio clip. The audio clip may not be modified, and no additional sounds or underscores may be used. This clip will be found below. A moment of silence may, however, be used before or at the end of the animation if needed as the audio in full is 14 seconds.
Props are allowed, though participants are advised to spend little time on adding props or assets. Simple props are recommended, as they do not distract from the actual animation. The focus of the animation contest, after all, is on character driven performance and creative solutions. Contestants can animate whatever they wish to the tune of the provided audio. Creativity will be a part of the judging as well as the fundamentals of animation.
For CG entries, participants may use any rigs desired, but must be provided by you the participant. For assistance with resources, visit the following websites:

Well-rendered shots are not necessary, as the judging criteria will be based strictly on the animation solution.
